Central KYC Records Registry - Customer Awareness Video

This video explains the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYC), a centralized system managed by CERSAI (Central Registry of Securitisation Asset Reconstruction and Security Interest of India) that simplifies the KYC (Know Your Customer) process for financial institutions and customers.

The CKYC system offers a simple process where customers can complete their KYC once and use it across multiple financial institutions. It enables faster account opening with a CKYC Identifier, reducing paperwork significantly. The centralized registry ensures secure storage and sharing of KYC data. Once registered, customers don't need to submit KYC documents repeatedly to different institutions. The CKYC Identifier is linked to the customer's KYC data, allowing seamless reuse across institutions.

The process works as follows: A customer completes the KYC process once with any participating financial institution. The KYC data is then uploaded to the Central KYC Records Registry, and the customer receives a unique CKYC Identifier. This identifier can be used when opening accounts with other financial institutions, as institutions can access verified KYC data directly from the central registry.
